Becky's Sugary Sugar Cookies

Light, wonderful cookies.

Servings: 24

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup ( or 220g ) white sugar
  • 1 cup ( or 225g ) butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 1 / 2 cups ( or 440g ) sifted all – purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons ( or 9g ) baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ( or 10ml ) vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Melt the butter or margarine over low heat.
  2. Mix together the sugar, butter and the eggs. Beat well. Sift in the flour and the baking powder. Mix in the vanilla. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheets.
  3. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown at 375 degrees F ( 190 degrees C ).
